How to edit Alternative ID

In this article, you will learn how to change your Alternative ID.

You will need an active Sursfshark subscription in order to use Alternative ID. You can check subscription options on our pricing page.

If you have not set up an Alternative ID yet, check out our tutorial on how to get Alternative ID.

NOTE: Once you generate a new Alternative email, the old one will not be accessible anymore. We highly recommend not using Alt email on accounts you constantly need. Generating a new Alt email will result in losing these accounts since the email will not be active anymore.

We will cover the following:

Edit your persona on the browser extension

  1. Open the Surfshark browser extension, click on the Alternative ID tab, and click on the pencil icon next to the Alt persona.

  2. Select your gender, age, country, and state, and click Confirm.

  3. Tick the box Yes, I want to change my Alt persona and click Confirm.
